Summary

EUDR Guide, an independent reference on the EU Deforestation Regulation, processes personal data only when a reader writes to the editorial team, signs up for updates or sends a request for independent providers and suppliers.

It runs no analytics or advertising vendor, keeps form data for 24 months or until unsubscribing, and answers questions about personal data at editorial@eudrguide.com.

Last updated 24 October 2026. How we check facts: methodology and fact-checking.

This privacy policy explains which personal data EUDR Guide, an independent reference on the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), Regulation (EU) 2023/1115, processes when readers write to the editorial team, sign up for updates or send a request for independent providers and suppliers. EUDR Guide runs no analytics or advertising vendor, and questions about personal data go to editorial@eudrguide.com.

The regulation is amended by Regulations (EU) 2024/3234 and 2025/2650 and Delegated Regulation (EU) 2026/2102, and the guide to the EU Deforestation Regulation is the place to start for the rules themselves.

What Personal Data Does EUDR Guide Collect?

EUDR Guide collects personal data only when a reader fills in one of three forms: the contact form, the update sign-up and the provider or supplier request form. Every form carries a privacy consent tick box that links to this page. The update email is one email when an EUDR date, act, guidance document or country list changes, with the date and the source.

Table 1. Personal data EUDR Guide collects

Form Where it appears Data collected Purpose Kept for
Contact form Contact page Email; name (optional); topic; page the message refers to; message; date sent Answering questions and corrections 24 months
Update sign-up Home page and news Email; role (optional); page of sign-up; date Sending dated EUDR updates (one email when an EUDR date, act, guidance document or country list changes) Until the reader unsubscribes
Provider or supplier request Inline on guide pages Role; commodity; company size band; country; support needed; email; message; page of request; date Passing a request on where an independent provider or supplier fits it 24 months

Reading the pages of the guide needs no account and no form.

Does EUDR Guide Use Analytics, Advertising or Tracking?

No: EUDR Guide uses no analytics service and no advertising vendor, and no page carries advertising. No company pays for a mention, a ranking or a placement, and the forms above are the only place where this policy describes personal data entering the site.

Who Receives Personal Data From EUDR Guide?

Form entries are stored with Cloudflare, which hosts EUDR Guide, and are read by the EUDR Guide Editorial Team. Cloudflare is named here as the host and storage provider of the site, not as a provider of EUDR services.

The request form works on one rule: tell us what you need, and where an independent provider or supplier fits your request, we pass it on. A request is not a promise that it is passed on, matched or answered.

No company is named as a partner, and no partner was chosen at launch. Providers and suppliers are not named, ranked or linked on the site.

How Long Does EUDR Guide Keep Personal Data?

EUDR Guide keeps contact messages and requests for 24 months and newsletter sign-ups until the reader unsubscribes. The "Kept for" column of Table 1 gives the value for each form. A reader who unsubscribes ends the sign-up retention at that point.

What Privacy Rights Do Readers Have Under the GDPR?

Readers in the EU have rights over their personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation, Regulation (EU) 2016/679, which has applied since 25 May 2018 (Article 99(2)). A reader who wants to ask about personal data held through a form writes to editorial@eudrguide.com and names the form, the email address used and the approximate date.

This guide explains the rules; it is not legal advice for an individual case.

How Does This Policy Connect to Contact, Corrections and the EUDR Guide?

Three questions link this policy to the rest of EUDR Guide: how to reach the editorial team, how changes are dated and whether a form has anything to do with EUDR compliance. The publisher and the funding model are described under about EUDR Guide.

How Can Readers Contact EUDR Guide About Their Data?

Questions about personal data go to editorial@eudrguide.com, the same address used for corrections and EUDR questions. The page to contact EUDR Guide gives the same editorial address.

How Are Changes to This Privacy Policy Dated?

Every change to this policy is dated on the page, as with corrections under the editorial policy. The date at the top of the page is the date the policy was last updated, and the editorial policy sets out how dated corrections are shown.

Is a Request or Sign-Up Part of EUDR Compliance?

No: the EUDR makes no provider, software or certificate mandatory, and the only system the regulation requires, the EUDR Information System, is free of charge (Article 18(1) of Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/3084). A request or a sign-up on EUDR Guide is not a compliance step.
