Contact EUDR Guide about the EU Deforestation Regulation (EU) 2023/1115: report an error, send an official source, and see where other questions go.
Summary
The EUDR Guide Editorial Team is reached at editorial@eudrguide.com for corrections, official sources and questions about a page of this guide. EUDR Guide is an independent reference on the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 as amended, and is not the European Commission or a competent authority.
The Regulation is amended by Regulations (EU) 2024/3234 and 2025/2650 and Delegated Regulation (EU) 2026/2102. Official requests go to the routes listed below, and a rule question may already be answered in the guide to the EU Deforestation Regulation.
How Do You Contact the EUDR Guide Editorial Team?
Write to editorial@eudrguide.com and name the page, the statement and what you want checked or added. Email is the only channel.
Table 1. What to send to the editorial team
| Reason for writing | What to include |
|---|---|
| A factual error | The page URL, the statement, and the primary source (instrument, article, date) |
| A new or changed official source | The instrument or notice, its issuer, its date and the official link (EUR-Lex, the Commission, a national gazette or a competent authority) |
| A question about a page | The page URL and the question; no advice on an individual case is given |
| Anything else editorial | The page URL, if there is one |
Compliance support and supplier requests use the form on the relevant guide page.
How Do You Request a Correction?
A correction request is strongest when it names the primary source: the article of Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 in its consolidated version, the Commission guidance (Guidance C/2026/3896) or FAQ Version 5 (April 2026), both non-binding, or the national gazette entry.
A confirmed error is corrected on the page with a dated correction, and each page shows the date it was last checked. A request does not guarantee a change or an answer, and the editorial policy on corrections sets out how a dated correction is shown.
Which EUDR Questions Should Go to the Commission or a Competent Authority?
EUDR Guide explains the rules but has no official role: it cannot register an account, file or correct a due diligence statement, carry out a check or receive a complaint. The Commission establishes and maintains the EUDR Information System (Article 33(1) of Regulation (EU) 2023/1115), and Article 18(1) of Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/3084 makes it free of charge. The Commission publishes the list of competent authorities on its website (Article 14(3)); the version read on 24 October 2026 is marked as updated on 12 October 2026.
Table 2. Where EUDR requests go that EUDR Guide cannot handle
| Request | Where it goes | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Registering, filing, amending or withdrawing a statement | The EUDR Information System, established and maintained by the Commission and free of charge | Article 33(1) of Regulation (EU) 2023/1115; Article 18(1) of Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/3084 |
| Technical questions on the system's API | The Commission mailbox SANTE-TRACES@ec.europa.eu, subject starting "EUDR API" | Operator API documentation |
| Checks, penalties and national rules | The competent authority of the Member State, listed publicly by the Commission (EUDR enforcement and competent authorities) | Article 14(1) and 14(3) |
| A suspected breach by an operator, downstream operator or trader | A substantiated concern to the competent authority, which informs the submitter of the follow-up within 30 days of receipt unless national law states otherwise (see substantiated concerns under the EUDR) | Article 31(1) and 31(3); Article 31 applies from 30 December 2026 (Article 38(2)) |
| Advice on an individual case | Not provided; responsibility stays with the operator | Article 4(3) and 6(1) |
Can EUDR Guide Advise on an Individual Case?
No: EUDR Guide explains what the EUDR and the Commission guidance require and the tests they set; it does not decide whether a rule applies to a specific company, product or shipment. Responsibility stays with the operator (Articles 4(3) and 6(1) of Regulation (EU) 2023/1115), and the Commission may issue guidelines (Article 15(5), as amended by Regulation (EU) 2025/2650).
Is EUDR Guide Independent of the Companies That Contact It?
Yes: a message from a company never buys a mention, a ranking or a change to a page, and no company is named as a partner. It has no affiliation with the Commission, any competent authority or any certification scheme. The site earns money by matching operators, traders and non-EU suppliers with independent providers and suppliers and through supplier enquiries; the EUDR makes none of these services mandatory. The page About EUDR Guide names the publisher and the funding.
Every fact on this site is checked against EUR-Lex and Commission sources; see our methodology and fact-checking.
This guide explains the rules; it is not legal advice for an individual case.
How Does Contacting EUDR Guide Connect to Its Methodology and Privacy Policy?
Two pages complete this one: the methodology for how reported errors are checked, and the privacy policy for how messages are handled.
How Is a Reported Error Fact-Checked?
A reported error is checked against the primary source, not against other guides. Anything unverified is not stated, and the fact-checking method explains the check dates and labels.
What Does the Privacy Policy Say About Your Message?
How the address and the content of a message are stored and for how long is set out in the privacy policy. Read the privacy policy before you send personal data.
